The upcoming opening of our Marin boutique has our team really excited—not only are we opening our store in the Bay Area’s one-of-a-kind Marin Country Mart, but we’re also commemorating the event by releasing a limited edition of tote bags designed by local artist, Stevie Howell.

Stevie’s unique skill for bringing photography and painting into one medium allows her to create gorgeous, dreamy designs—and the print she came up with for us is no exception. Take a look at what she carries in her own tote below.

iPhone and ear buds: “I’m trying to learn how to detach this thing from my hand. So many of my patterns start off as snapshots, so I’m constantly photographing things. I normally listen to music or NPR when I work, and have recently been enjoying Instagram a little too much.” [Ed note: Check out Stevie’s Instagrams at @HowellMtnGang]

Magazines: “Cabinet, C, Fast Company and Vogue. The tote continues to get heavier and heavier…”

Car keys: “This is California! I drive a Mini, which is most often co-piloted by my dog, Lu.”

Dog leash: “Found My Animal not only makes the best looking dog leashes and collars, but they also raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption. I got Lu from the NYC Animal Care and Control about six years ago, and she pretty much hasn’t left my side since we walked out of the shelter.”

Snacks: “I never leave home without grabbing a fistful of fruit. The produce alone was a huge temptation to move back to California from NYC, so I definitely take advantage of what is available and in season. I also have a slightly intense addiction to Trader Joe’s dried mango slices.

Stress reliever: “I like H. Gillerman Organics and Bach Rescue Remedy best.”

Smashed things at the bottom of my bag: “Right now these consist of an Advil, a pack of Orbit gum, a Staedtler Mars pencil and eraser, a Numi Tea bag and Fresh sugar lip treatment.”
